Mental Health Care Plan
Our Psychologists are registered providers with Medicare, enabling you to claim a Medicare rebate for your counselling sessions.
Medicare rebates are available to clients receiving psychological services with a Mental Health Care Plan from a General Practitioner, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. With the Mental Health Care Plan, you are entitled to 10 counselling sessions and 10 group classes in a calendar year.
For a Mental Health Care plan, you will need to consult with your GP. Sometimes extra consulting time is needed with your doctor, so please let their receptionist know in case you need an extended appointment with your GP.
In order to claim your Medicare rebate, you must obtain your GP referral prior to your first appointment. On payment of your counselling session with your Psychologist, you will receive an invoice which you can take to any Medicare branch to claim your rebate.

Chronic Disease Management Plan
The Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) is a Medicare-rebated funding program for people who have chronic medical conditions (classified as a condition that has been present for at least 6 months).
It consists of 5 (maximum) rebates per calendar year for Allied Health services (ie. Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Psychology). If you are accessing more than one type of therapy you are entitled to share the EPC sessions across the therapists (ie. not 5 rebates per service).
You or your child may be eligible for this funding package if you or your child have a chronic medical condition and if this condition is being managed by your GP under an ‘Enhanced Primary Care Plan’. This plan is established by your GP and your therapist (Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist and/or Psychologist) is invited to participate in your care under this plan.
Your GP will either give the form to you to bring into the clinic or they can fax the form to us. You are then entitled to claim under this program provided your GP has registered your plan with Medicare.
